Eat a nutritious diet. A healthy diet is the key to creating and maintaining a body that your best critics would kill for. All you really need to do is stay motivated and focused- you'll see results.
  • When counting calories, remember that one pound equals 3500 calories.
  • A safe and healthy way to lose weight and diet is by reducing your daily calorie intake by 500 calories per day.
  • Eat plenty of protein. Stay away from high carbohydrate meals and sugar. Opt for water over fruit juices and sodas and by all means, try your best to stay away from alcohol. Alcohol deposits empty calories in your body that will counteract all of the hard work you've put in up to that point.

Drink water regularly. Drink clean H2O about 2 – 3 litres a day. Water Consumption helps with the protection of movement of joints, and other organs and tissues in the body.

Keep fit. Proper and consistent exercise will keep your energy levels high. Here are some cardio exercises to hit those troubled spots:
  • For your abs and torso area, crunches and sit ups will help shrink your stomach.
  • For your arms and shoulders, elliptical and small weights will firm up any flabby areas.
  • For hips, thighs and buttocks, cycling, running and jogging.
Remember that you must do these exercises for 30-60 minutes a day at least 3 times a week. The best time is usually before you start your day so afterward, your energy level will be elevated as you'll breeze through your daily schedule.

Keep moving. Don't just sit around and become a permanent fixture on the couch. Walk to the store instead of driving, walk up stairs instead of using an elevator, and do spot exercises while sitting at a work desk or dinner table.

Rest well. Sleep for at least 8 hours EVERY night. The way you feel while you're awake depends in part on what happens while you're sleeping. During sleep, your body is working to support healthy brain function and maintain your physical health.

Stay positive. It takes a good balance of keeping your motivation up. Good luck!
