Have you experience insomnia?
Well, it is extensive, and you are not the only person suffering from it. If
you have been suffering from it for a while then you must be feeling fatigued
and sluggish and may even have add on extra weight. However, you need not
worry; there are some natural home remedies for insomnia. Let us look at some
of those.
Lavender
What you must have is something
that will take your nervous system to a state of sleepiness. This can be done
by using lavender oil as it has a reputation as a sedative. You can get it from
the local drug store, but you should apply it every night on your forehead and
temple region.
Light and music
Turn off the lights of your
bedroom keeping only one with dim light or none at all, and play some light
music to make you feel drift apart to a serene land and as your thoughts wander
about in nothingness. You should not watch television or go through your Facebook
wall before going to bed.
Magnesium
There is a link between sleep
deprivation and magnesium deficiency. It has been found that if you are
deprived of magnesium then your brain is unable to relax and bring on sleep. And
so, take magnesium rich foods like nuts and seeds, dark green vegetables, beans
and lentils and so on.
Sleep time snacks
There are snacks that may help
you to fall asleep. These are sleep inducing snacks, and these are typically
rich in carbohydrates. These snacks signal to your brain that hunger has been quenched
and it is time to go to bed and sleep. The carbohydrates in these foods
increases the sleep-inducing hormones in the blood.
Valerian
This is a very common natural
sleep inducing element which has been used since the period of our ancestral
times to treat sleep disorders. It will help you in falling asleep and improve
your quality of sleep. You can take its extracts during the day or at night.
Thanks a lot for this... Somehow it helps my ease my insomia a bit.
